Global Jet Capital Appoints Christie to Lead Sales in Americas

Global Jet Capital appointed Mike Christie to the position of head of sales for the Americas. He will succeed Steve Day, who is stepping down after more than eight years with the company.

Most recently, Christie served as vice president of sales in the western U.S. and Ohio for Global Jet Capital. In his new role, Christie will oversee the company’s sales activities in the U.S. and Latin America.

“Mike has been with Global Jet Capital since 2018, and in that time, he has developed a keen understanding of our products and services and the markets we serve. Mike’s energy, collaborative approach and prior experience in multiple roles managing high-performing sales teams in the arena of financial services will be of great benefit to Global Jet Capital,” Vivek Kaushal, CEO of Global Jet Capital, said. “He is a relentless advocate for our clients and industry partners and will be a great addition to our senior leadership team.”

Before joining Global Jet Capital, Christie served in a variety of market-facing sales roles at GE Capital, U.S. Bank and Huntington National Bank.

“We are grateful to Steve for his contributions since joining Global Jet Capital in 2016. Steve played an integral role in establishing our presence in the Americas markets, particularly in the U.S. and Mexico,” Kaushal said. “He has developed a seasoned team with deep ties into a market that recognizes and respects the Global Jet Capital brand. Steve’s experience and wisdom will be missed as he moves to the next chapter in a long and varied career.”
