Healthcare Equipment Leasing Market Size to Reach $57.2B by 2026



According to a new market study from Global Industry Analysts, the global market size for healthcare equipment leasing was estimated at $40.3 billion in 2020 and is projected to reach a revised size of $57.2 billion by 2026, growing at a CAGR of 5.8% over the analysis period.

DME, one of the segments analyzed in the report, is projected to record a 5.3% CAGR and reach $24.3 billion by the end of the analysis period. In addition, after analysis of the business implications of the COVID-19 pandemic and its induced economic crisis, growth in the surgical and therapy equipment segment is readjusted to a revised 6.2% CAGR for the next seven-year period.

According to the study, the size of the healthcare equipment leasing market in the U.S. is estimated at $11.7 billion in 2021. China, the world`s second largest economy, is forecast to reach a projected market size of $11.7 billion by 2026, growing at a CAGR of 8.7% over the analysis period. Among the other noteworthy geographic markets are Japan and Canada, which are expected to grow 3.2% and 5.2%, respectively, over the analysis period. Within Europe, Germany is forecasted to grow at an approximately 3.6% CAGR.

In the global personal and home care equipment segment, the U.S., Canada, Japan, China and Europe will drive the 6.3% CAGR estimated for this segment. These regional markets accounted for a combined market size of $3.4 billion in 2020 and will reach a projected size of $5.2 billion by the close of the analysis period. China will remain among the fastest growing sectors in this cluster of regional markets.
