Lease Link Canada announced that its affiliated company, Lease Link Acquisition, has acquired all of the assets of Calgary-based Lease Plus Financial, a division of Lease Plus Services. With this acquisition, Lease Link is now one of Canada’s largest small-ticket originators and the largest small-ticket originator in Western Canada. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The acquired Calgary branch will continue to operate under the well-established brand of Lease Plus Financial, and Brent Behiels will be appointed as its president. He has had a long-standing career in the leasing industry and has been with Lease Plus Financial since 1996.

Lease Plus Financial was founded by Wayne and Gladys Behiels in 1990. Since then, operating from its office in Calgary, Alberta, the company has successfully grown as a provider of equipment leasing and financing services throughout Alberta. In time, the company staff also grew to include their sons, Brent and Dean Behiels. As president, Wayne Behiels provided strong leadership to his talented team and expanded business operations while building an outstanding brand reputation for the company. Wayne and Gladys Behiels have remained very active in the company since its founding and are now looking forward to retirement.
