Machen to Manage Equipment Finance for Arvest Bank

Matt Machen was named regional executive of enhanced banking services for Arvest Bank where he will manage equipment finance and small business administration, among other divisions, according to a report from Talk Business & Politics, a news website that covers business, politics and culture in Arkansas.

According to the report, Arvest created a new role for Machen, who previously served as CEO of Bear State Bank, which was acquired by Arvest in April.

Machen began his career in lending in 2003 at First Security Bank, according to Talk Business & Politics, which stated that he joined First Federal Bank in 2011 before the entity became Bear State.

The report indicated that he led a turnaround effort as market president at Bear State before being promoted to chief financial officer, then president, followed by his appointment as president and CEO in January 2017.
