Macquarie Said to be in $4B Deal to Acquire Awas Aircraft



Citing sources from Reuters, the Irish Times reported that Macquarie AirFinance is negotiating a deal with Awas to acquire a portfolio of new aircraft for more than $4 billion.

The Times said, according to the sources, that Macquarie is working to finalize an agreement before the end of January.

The Times noted that Awas is owned by British private equity firm Terra Firma Capital Partners and has more than 300 planes on lease to over 110 airlines.
