MidAtlantic Farm Credit Hires Corporate Lending Manager

MidAtlantic Farm Credit hired Gail Houser as executive director – corporate lending manager. She will be based in the association’s Westminster, MD office.

“We are excited to have Gail join our corporate lending department,” said Bill Rutter, CCO with MidAtlantic Farm Credit. “Her experiences in commercial lending, relationship building, and her knowledge of our community will make her a great asset as we look to expand throughout our footprint.”

As corporate lending manager, Houser will be overseeing relationships with commercial customers throughout the association to help them understand how Farm Credit can work with them to ensure financial success and plan for their future.

“I am happy to join the Farm Credit team, and look forward to interacting with our agricultural community members,” Houser said. “Being born and raised in Maryland, and spending a period of time living on a farm, I feel like I am getting back to my roots.”

Prior to joining Farm Credit, Houser was the senior vice president of Commercial Lending with Bay Bank, overseeing the loan and deposit relationships of its commercial clients. She has more than 20 years of lending and risk management experience, and has worked with customers across various industries and states, as well as trade finance for international banking organizations.

MidAtlantic Farm Credit is an agricultural lending cooperative owned by its member/borrowers. It provides farm loans for land, equipment, livestock and production, crop insurance and rural home mortgages.
