Lisa Rafter and Kate Majewski, owners of LK Consulting Partners LLC, have acquired Monitor, the leading source of news for the equipment finance industry, and Molloy Associates, the executive search firm exclusively serving employers in the equipment finance industry.
In connection with the acquisition, Susie Angelucci, who served as Monitor’s Advertising Manager for 20 years, has rejoined the team as Director of Advertising after a decade with County Lines Magazine in West Chester, PA where she served as Director of Advertising.
“I can’t imagine a better-suited team to take the reins of Monitor and Molloy Associates than Lisa and Kate,” said Jerry Parrotto, who joined both companies in 1985 and subsequently acquired them in 1998. “Lisa goes back to our meager beginnings, when Monitor was nothing more than a tabloid. Her dedication to our brand for 17 years gave Monitor the industry recognition it has today. Her partner, Kate Majewski, has a solid background in finance and is schooled in the art of using technology to elevate and improve outcomes. Together, they bring a solid credential and nationwide reputation for getting results. This will ensure seamless continuity for our stakeholders during this transition.”
Rafter has been in the equipment leasing industry for more than 25 years. As Editor in Chief of Monitor, she was instrumental in the creation of many ground-breaking news products such as the Monitor 100, the annual ranking of the top 100 equipment finance companies, and monitordaily.com, the industry’s first website and daily e-news blast. Rafter has also served as publisher of the National Equipment Finance Association’s Newsline, co-publisher of World Leasing News with Sudhir Amembal and SVP/Sales for Odessa.
“This is a homecoming for me,” Rafter said. “My role as Editor in Chief of Monitor launched my career in this dynamic industry, and I’ve deepened my relationships and knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing leasing companies in the years since. I’m excited to create the next chapter of the Monitor’s and Molloy Associates’ legacies with Kate.”
“Our industry is at a pivotal point of digital transformation,” said Majewski, who has worked as a technology service provider for more than 18 years in roles with Odessa and Northrop Grumman, a leading global security company. “I’m thrilled for the opportunity to connect companies in our industry with the talent and technological expertise they need to thrive in today’s market.”
