NEFA Raises $12K For Cancer Charities During Charity Event at 2023 Funding Symposium

The National Equipment Finance Association raised $12,000 during its Texas Tailgate & Hold ‘em Charity Tournament at its 2023 Funding Symposium. The event was organized by the NEFA’s philanthropic committee and the funds will be divided equally between the INDY Foundation and the National Lymphedema Network.

The NEFA Texas Tailgate & Hold’em Charity Tournament brought together equipment finance professionals for an evening of camaraderie, poker and lawn games, all in the name of supporting crucial causes in the fight against cancer.

“Thank you to everyone who attended the NEFA charity event to allow for such a generous donation to be made to the INDY Foundation,” Jennifer Stich of Falcon Equipment Finance, a cancer survivor and advocate for the INDY Foundation, said. “This donation will help cancer warriors and their families with any needs they are experiencing. I’m so grateful for this equipment finance community and your generosity.”

“As a breast cancer survivor, I am humbled and honored to have been a part of this incredible fundraising event sponsored by NEFA, which will benefit the National Lymphedema Network,” Linda Tiers of Baystone Government Finance, a breast cancer survivor and supporter of the National Lymphedema Network, said. “Lymphedema is a terrible lifelong condition that affects thousands of people and truly deserves research and support. I cannot thank Chad [Sluss] and the entire NEFA organization/members enough for this opportunity.”

The NEFA will support another deserving cause at its 2024 Finance Summit in Huntington Beach, CA, from March 25-28.
