NEFA’s Baltimore Crab Feast Returns

The National Equipment Finance Association’s Baltimore Crab Feat returned this year as one of the first in-person gatherings of the trade association in 2021.

“It was refreshing to be back to normal, shaking hands and engaging with old friends and new NEFA members,” Scott A. Wheeler, CLFP, president of Wheeler Business Consulting and a board member of the NEFA, said. “When the association first started planning the event back in February, there were still many uncertainties. Baltimore restaurants were under restrictive measures, most regular participants in the event had yet to be vaccinated and business travel for many companies was restricted. However, the stars began to align and over 50 professionals came together for an evening of networking, crabs, beer and wine.”

This annual industry tradition has been ongoing for several decades. According to the NEFA, the consensus among attendees was that business activity is strong and expected to remain robust for the foreseeable future. The NEFA’s next in-person event will be held on June 16 in Minneapolis and will be followed by several additional regional events later in the summer and the association’s annual Funding Symposium, which will be held from Oct. 12 to Oct. 15 in Charlotte, NC.
