Trucking trade publication The Trucker reported that Class 8 truck sales in October of 22,032 units were up 9.7% from September sales of 20,078.

The Trucker said, according to data compiled by Wards Automotive, October’s results were buoyed by Freightliner’s monthly record sales of 8,153 tractors.

The Trucker noted that with two months to go, 2014 total sales could potentially reach levels not seen since precession 2006.
