Reuters: Air Lease Urges Boeing to Rebrand 737 MAX

Reuters reported that Air Lease Chairman Steven Udvar-Hazy urged Boeing to rebrand its 737 MAX aircraft.

“I think that word MAX should go down in the history books as a bad name for an aircraft,” Udvar-Hazy told Reuters.

The report noted that 150 of the 737 MAX jets Air Lease has ordered from Boeing are grounded.

When asked about changing the name of jet in June, Boeing said it had no intention of doing so, according to Reuters.
