Colleen Shelby has been named the new CEO of instaCOVER, an insurance agency and technology company that offers an insurance platform to the leasing industry that allows lease brokers, funders and vendor programs the ability to offer customers specialized insurance for their leased/financed assets.

Shelby joined instaCOVER in 2014 to lead the company’s new foray into the medical imaging market. Within a couple of years, she became instaCOVER’s business development director, overseeing all of instaCOVER’s sales efforts. More recently, she was promoted to managing director, leading the business’s day-to-day activities.

“Colleen is the perfect person to lead instaCOVER through our next phase of growth. She has a deep understanding of our customers and products. She is well respected by the team and throughout the industry. She is a fantastic leader and manger. And her super power is business development. We are fortunate to have someone as gifted as Colleen to take the helm at instaCOVER,” Craig Wainscott, board chairman and CFO for instaCOVER, said. “I am very excited to be trusted by the board with this opportunity. instaCOVER is an amazing company with a great team of people. Shelby is replacing Wainscott, who had been CEO since 2014 and is moving into a new role as instaCOVER’s CFO.
