U.S. Rep. Cox Accused of Equipment Leasing Fraud

The San Joaquin Valley Sun reported that Rep. TJ Cox (D–Fresno) has been accused in a recently-filed lawsuit of defrauding investors who provided loans of $150,000 to Troy Equipment Leasing.

According to the complaint filed December 17, 2019, Cox allegedly failed to disclose to the investors his conflicts of interest relating to a gold mine in Canada.

The Sun reported that Cox served as a corporate director of Constellation Mines, which purchased and leased mining equipment from Troy Equipment Leasing, which was also controlled by Cox.
