United Rentals Adds Low-Emission Mobile Power Generators to Fleet

United Rentals introduced JuiceBox mobile power generators to its equipment rental fleet.

The generators, which United Rentals acquired from Evergreen Mobile Power, can be powered by propane or natural gas, providing a low-emissions alternative to diesel machines to charge electric vehicles, tools and other equipment. The generators also are equipped with dual interchangeable and removable electrical panels.

According to United Rentals, these new generators can be used at construction worksites and entertainment venues as well as in emergency response and telecommunications applications.

The new generators join other low- and zero-emissions rental equipment from United Rental, including select aerial lifts, trucks, vans, compact excavators, e-dumpsters and battery systems.

“Diesel engine emission regulations are driving companies to look for new options they can deploy,” Dan Gribbell, PHVAC region sales and marketing director of United Rentals, said. “Adding JuiceBox generators to our fleet provides another way we are helping our customers create lower-emission worksites without compromising safety or productivity. With low operations costs and greenhouse gas emissions, the JuiceBox provides a smarter choice for the environment and a customer’s wallet.”
