United Rentals appointed Chris Hummel senior vice president and chief marketing officer, effective immediately.

Hummel brings more than two decades of senior management experience to United Rentals. He most recently served as chief marketing officer of Schneider Electric, with responsibility for the development and implementation of Schneider’s global marketing strategy. Previously, he held positions as chief commercial officer and president with Unify, where he helped transform the company’s go-to-market model as a rebranding of Siemens Enterprise Communications. He also served in senior marketing positions with global software manufacturer SAP SE, and spent 13 years in sales, marketing and business development leadership roles with Oracle.
