Volvo NA Truck Deliveries Increase 13% Y/Y



Volvo truck deliveries in North America increased by 13% in August compared to July and 17% year-over-year. In total, Volvo experienced a 3% increase in global truck deliveries, with positive readings in North America and Europe making up for downward trends in South America and Asia.

The heavy duty truck market has been inching forward for Volvo during 2015 as a whole, with 112,189 trucks delivered through August, which represents a 2% increase over the same time period last year. In August, Volvo delivered 10,637 heavy duty trucks, a 3% bump from the 10,284 delivered during August of last year.

Volvo owned Mack Trucks helped the boost in the heavy truck segment, with 2% growth in deliveries compared to August of last year and an 11% year-to-date increase. The North American market accounted for 1,678 of the 1,837 trucks delivered during August.
