City National Adds Park to Expand Financings for Equipment Leasing Firms

City National Bank hired Cecilia Park as a senior vice president and senior relationship manager. Park will lead the bank’s effort to provide a full-suite of financing and banking services to independent corporate clients that offer equipment leasing. She will report to Garen Papazyan, senior vice president with City National’s structured finance unit.

“We are very excited to have Cecilia join our team and lead our equipment lease finance expansion,” said Aaron Cohen, executive vice president and head of City National’s structured finance unit. “City National has a long history of providing exceptional financial solutions, and this newly launched effort to provide financing to independent equipment leasing companies that do everything — from lease computers to aircraft — strengthens the bank’s capabilities.”

Park has more than 20 years of leasing experience as a banker, investor and operator. Most recently, she served as president of Axis Capital, an independent equipment leasing company. Prior to Axis, Park was a managing director and head of UBS’s Global Transportation Structured Finance Group where she specialized in providing capital markets solutions to aircraft and other transportation leasing companies.

“I am proud to join City National’s team of outstanding professionals,” Park said. “I look forward to leveraging my multi-faceted experiences in the leasing industry to provide tailored financial solutions to independent leasing companies.”

City National’s expertise in equipment leasing includes First American Equipment Finance, a wholly owned subsidiary of City National that is based in Fairport, NY.
