Christina Clarkson joined instaCOVER in 2018 after spending 17 years in the mortgage industry, in which she worked her way up from a loan processor role to mortgage underwriter and, eventually, a loan coordinator. During those years, she also managed a woodworking company, for which she built policies and procedures to help the company experience significant growth.

Having a versatile background has helped Clarkson understand how different markets and industries work. She brings that knowledge to her current position with instaCOVER each day, as she strives to understand why certain rules or regulations are in place so that she can understand the reason behind them rather than settling for “that’s just the way it is.”

“Having an understanding of the thought process behind a decision allows for easier and smoother communication moving forward,” Clarkson says. “I also believe there is always room for personal and professional growth or to learn something new. If an opportunity is given to you, take it! You never know what may come of it or how it may be useful in the future.”

In her current role, Clarkson is working to expand instaCOVER’s presence in the equipment rental market, customizing a product to meet the needs of the company’s funders and growing the company’s financed equipment products for brokers and funders.

“I look forward to seeing what the future holds and to see what direction this industry will take me in,” Clarkson says.
