Jillian Munson,
Technology Project Manager,
QuickFi by Innovation Finance

Jillian Munson’s career in the industry began in the product space. She managed the development of QuickFi platform products by coordinating internal developers, vetting vendors, front-running quality assurance and organizing product launches.

Munson analyzes customer-facing and internal business processes to determine how technology can streamline experiences. She identifies pain points, concludes specifications to improve processes and collaborates with developers to build and execute solutions. Munson also creates and leads ‘product testing’ events to obtain user feedback on QuickFi products from finance professionals and university students. Additionally, Munson crafts the application processes for competitions, resulting in numerous industry awards in the areas of innovation and technology for QuickFi.

“Stepping outside of your comfort zone is critical to personal and professional growth,” Munson says. “Being adaptable and willing to constantly learn new things opens up so many opportunities for yourself.”

Munson is an active member of the ELFA’s Technology Innovation Working Group and presented a segment on biometric authentication at ELFA Business Live! in 2020.

Munson promotes innovation and brings a fresh perspective by re-vamping user experiences, experimenting with emerging technology and asking the “why” questions. As a leader, Munson recognizes the importance of teamwork and “failing fast.”

“I believe in candid, open, respectful communication to increase brainstorming and productivity,” Munson says. “I believe in positive reinforcement and encouragement for even the small wins. Since day one of my career, I’ve been fortunate enough to be mentored by this industry’s most influential and inspiring leaders, and one thing I’ve learned is that forming positive relationships with your colleagues is one of the most important aspects of any job.”
