AerCap Signed $1.6 B in Financing Transactions in Q1/24



Aviation lessor AerCap signed 82 lease agreements, completed 12 purchases and 49 sale transactions, and signed financing transactions for approximately $1.6 billion in Q1/24.

Of the 82 lease agreements, including six were for widebody aircraft, 40 were for narrowbody aircraft, 26 were for engines and 10 were for helicopters.

Of the 21 purchases, 13 were for aircraft (including two Airbus A220 aircraft, five Airbus A320neo aircraft, two Airbus A330neos, three Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and one Boeing 787-9 for AerCap’s owned aircraft portfolio), while six were for engines and two were for helicopters.

Of the 49 sale transactions, 35 were for aircraft (including 13 Airbus A320 aircraft, five Airbus A320neo aircraft, six Boeing 737NGs, two Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, one Boeing 757 and five Embraer E190s from AerCap’s owned aircraft portfolio and three aircraft from AerCap’s managed aircraft portfolio), while 13 were for engines (including 10 engines from AerCap’s owned engine portfolio and three engines from AerCap’s managed engine portfolio) and 1 was for a helicopter.

During the quarter, the company also repurchased approximately 4.3 million shares at an average price of $77.89 per share for a total of approximately $336 million.
