Alta Group Chooses LoMonaco to Lead Business Assessment Practice

Gary LoMonaco, a director at The Alta Group who has worked with the firm’s strategy and competitive alignment practice since 2021, will now lead the global consultancy’s business assessment practice.

LoMonaco has considerable experience in due diligence and business operations analysis from a career that has included executive roles at information technology solutions provider Forsythe Technology, Banc of America Leasing and Capital, and Heller Financial.

LoMonaco started his career in credit, gaining experience that earned him the post of senior credit officer for Heller Financial’s equipment finance business. LoMonaco was part of the standing acquisition and due diligence teams at both Heller and Forsythe, and he headed a lender finance unit at multiple companies and was responsible for regular audits and operational reviews of a variety of clients and business models.

“I’ve been involved in capital markets as both a lender and a borrower, performed or managed pretty much every role possible,” LoMonaco said. “The hands-on managerial experience I have gained across the spectrum of equipment leasing and finance functions enables me to understand my clients’ perspectives, regardless of which side of the table they’re on.”

The Alta Group’s business assessment practice assists clients with pre-acquisition due diligence, ongoing operational assessments, lender due diligence and other traditional business assessment efforts. The business assessment practice was previously combined with legal services under the direction of Paul Bent. Bent will continue to lead the legal services practice.
