Alta’s Voorhees to Discuss Climate Equipment Finance at ELFA’s Credit and Collections Management Conference

Patricia Voorhees, a director at The Alta Group, will share insights to help leasing professionals capitalize on the projected multi-trillion-dollar opportunity in climate equipment finance at the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association’s 2023 Credit and Collections Management Conference, which will be held June 7 to June 9 and offered both in-person in San Antonio and virtually.

Climate-focused equipment is forecast to generate $18 trillion in financing opportunities between now and 2030, according to the ELFA’s Top 10 Equipment Acquisition Trends for 2023. Voorhees will examine recent policy decisions that are driving this activity and quantify the market opportunity in “Climate Financing for Credit,” the conference’s opening general session discussion. As chair of the ELFA’s Climate Finance Working Group, Voorhees will also share information on how this new group can provide education, best practices and advocacy.

Louis Maslowe, chief risk officer of the commercial domain at DLL, and Michael Mount, senior vice president and credit executive at U.S. Bank Equipment Finance, will join Voorhees during the opening session to discuss risk and best practices related to climate equipment finance.

Voorhees has written and presented previously on climate equipment finance. She previously spoke about the topic at the ELFA’s 61st Annual Convention in 2022 and more recently at the ELFA Legal Forum in April. Her writing about climate equipment finance was published in Monitor’s 2023 innovation issue. She also was a lead author on the Equipment Leasing and Finance Foundation’s 2022 study, “The ESG Imperative: Understanding the Opportunities for the Equipment Leasing and Finance Industry.”
