Axis Capital hired Ed Testa as vice president. In this new role, Testa will be responsible for vendor partnerships in sales and will report directly to Michael Karman, Axis’ chief commercial officer.
Prior to joining Axis, Testa worked in sales with Graphic Arts Capital where he was responsible for soliciting, managing and maintaining national vendor-based partnerships. Additionally, he has held numerous high-level executive and sales positions with such companies as Greystone Equipment Finance, Champion Capital and Bankvest Capital.
“As an experienced industry veteran, Ed brings a dynamic proficiency in vendor and customer relationships,” Karman said. “Ed’s unique and broad capabilities represent a real asset for our business development and growth strategy, and we are delighted he has joined our team.”
Earlier this year, Axis announced that the company increased its overall origination volume from $132.2 million to $213.0 million, representing a 56% increase between 2014 and 2015. As a result, Axis achieved the second largest year-over-year growth in Monitor’s national ranking of Top 25 Vendor Channels.
“We have just come off of a record year of growth and are focused on strengthening long-term partnerships to facilitate additional growth,” said Mostafiz ShahMohammed, Axis chairman and CEO. “Ed’s diverse talents will serve to augment our leadership team and will be an integral part of our ongoing success.”
