Bloomberg reported that five Federal Reserve indices of regional manufacturing dropped in December, which could indicate that shaky times are in store for the U.S. economy.

Bloomberg cited a Fed report, which stated that more than 20% of manufacturers said their outlook took a turn for the worse in December.
