CSI Leasing continued the expansion of its Asia-Pacific operations by opening a subsidiary in Jakarta, Indonesia. This follows the launch of CSI Leasing Thailand and CSI Leasing Taiwan earlier this year. The company now has subsidiaries in 10 countries throughout the Asia-Pacific region and serves customers in more than 50 countries around the world.
The new entity, PT CSI Renting Indonesia (CSI Indonesia), will immediately begin servicing CSI’s existing portfolio of global customers and will also seek lease opportunities with local organizations in Indonesia.
Rio Wicaksono will manage CSI Indonesia. Wicaksono has nearly 20 years of finance experience, most recently from PT Century Tokyo Leasing Indonesia (a subsidiary of Tokyo Century Corporation), where he was a director.
“Our newest subsidiary in Indonesia is just another example of how CSI’s Asia-Pacific operations are continuing to expand at a rapid pace,” Cheng Chiin Ong, director and CEO of the Asia-Pacific region for CSI Leasing, said. “The team in Asia recently gathered for our annual fiscal year kickoff meeting where the theme was ‘raising the bar.’ With our growth in footprint and increased sales results, I believe our team has raised the bar very high. I am excited to see what’s in store for us next.”
In 2022, CSI’s Asia-Pacific operations experienced 30% growth in fair market value lease originations and 18% growth in overall lease originations from the previous year.
