DLL intends to appoint Lara Yocarini CEO and chair of the company’s executive board for a term of four years, effective May 1. Yocarini will succeed Carlo van Kemenade, who will join the managing board of Rabobank Group as director of retail in the Netherlands on April 1.
Yocarini will also join Rabobank’s managing board and will be responsible for group-wide vendor finance activities. As a subsidiary of Rabobank, DLL will remain an independent entity. Yocarini and van Kemenade’s appointments are subject to final approval of applicable regulatory authorities.
Yocarini has worked across Europe, the U.S. and Africa in finance, management consulting and the not-for-profit sector. Yocarini joined Rabobank’s wholesale and rural business in early 2020 and has been instrumental in driving its global strategic transformation and sustainability agenda. Since October 2021, she has been leading international rural banking globally as well as activities in emerging markets through Rabo Partnerships.
Yocarini previously worked for organizations such as Natixis CIB, McKinsey & Company and the United Nations Development program. Her areas of expertise include strategy development, business development, transformations and commercial excellence.
“I feel incredibly privileged to become the CEO of DLL and to join the managing board of Rabobank,” Yocarini said. “Under Carlo’s leadership, and thanks to its fantastic teams, vendor partners and customers, DLL has rightfully become one of the three strategic pillars of the group. I look forward to contributing to the next chapter of DLL’s growth and to cementing its position as the leading global vendor finance company.”
“The supervisory board of DLL is delighted that we can welcome a great and gifted professional like Lara as CEO and as our first executive representative in the top of Rabobank,” Berry Marttin, chairman of DLL’s supervisory board, said.
“We are very pleased to be able to propose the appointment of a candidate who comes from within the Rabobank organization and brings a wealth of international management experience,” van Kemenade said. “I have gotten to know Lara as a very intelligent and strategic talent who also has a genuine interest in the people she works with and knows how to build relationships. Her strong personality and can-do mentality perfectly match our special DLL culture.”
