“We are excited to roll out a new series of specialized events for ELFA members in the first third of 2021,” Ralph Petta, president and CEO of the ELFA, said. “Due to the ongoing pandemic, these activities will be held virtually using state-of-the-art technology to maximize attendee engagement. We encourage all ELFA members to participate in these events to stay connected to the colleagues and issues important to you and our industry in the year ahead. Below are details on ELFA’s scheduled events for January through April:
Celebrate the new year and network with the ELFA membership on a virtual platform built to simulate a live venue. The ELFA said that sponsorship opportunities are available in support of the Capital Area Food Bank.
Equipment managers, appraisers and remarketers will participate in educational sessions, networking opportunities and a multimedia exhibition featuring leasing appraisers, remarketers, auctioneers and others.
March 11 This event will focus on educating investors and equipment finance companies about the latest industry trends and developments. Topics will include the outlook for the year ahead, structural and legal challenges, risk management, and capital markets.
This event will be held exclusively for executives within ELFA member companies. Focused on the theme “the future of work,” leaders will hear from experts on business strategy in uncertain environments and discuss innovation strategies to craft a tailored, forward-thinking approach to sustainable growth.
This interactive event will be focused on leadership development for women at all stages of an equipment finance career. Attendees will hear from dynamic speakers and have the opportunity to build their professional networks and gain inspiration and tools to move forward and thrive. This event will be hosted by the ELFA Women’s Council.
Attendees will have a chance to mix, mingle and make connections with industry colleagues on a virtual platform built to simulate a live venue. This event will be hosted by the ELFA Emerging Talent Advisory Council.

Wednesday Webinars – The ELFA will host a series of Wednesday Webinars on a range of topics. Starting in January, the ELFA will look at current and future tax law considerations and their effect on existing leasing portfolios and new leasing transactions. Then, in February, the ELFA Equality Committee will conduct a discussion on allyship and biases, and what you can do as an ally to support your fellow colleagues when they need it the most.
