First Citizens Bank’s middle-market banking business named Tony Hurtado a relationship manager dedicated to cultivating business in Orange County, CA.

Hurtado will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a portfolio of middle-market banking relationships and delivering a full suite of commercial banking products and services. Based in San Diego, he will report to Katrin Engel, a managing director for First Citizens Middle-Market Banking.

“Tony has a proven track record of fostering key business relationships as part of a growing portfolio,” Engel said. “We’re excited to welcome him to the First Citizens Middle-Market Banking team to strengthen our commitment to serving middle-market businesses on the West Coast.”

Prior to joining First Citizens, Hurtado was a vice president and senior relationship manager at Sunwest Bank, where he managed a portfolio of middle-market and commercial clients. Prior to that, he held various commercial banking roles focused on relationship management and business development at various financial institutions, including International City Bank, Citizens Business Bank, MUFG Union Bank and JPMorgan Chase.
