First Federal Bank Donates More Than $100K to Nonprofit Agencies

First Federal Bank, a community-based bank serving Florida and South Carolina, announced that it will donate $100,900 to nonprofit agencies through its 2023 First Federal Way campaign. Employees of the bank combined to contribute $50,430 through the program, which the bank matched, leading to the donation total of $100,900.

Since its inception 18 years ago, the First Federal Way campaign has donated more than $1.3 million to support various causes and organizations across the bank’s footprint.

“The generous donation from the First Federal Way program is a wonderful holiday surprise,” Sharon Jones, vice president of development for Haven Hospice, one of the organizations First Federal supported this year.

“The nonprofit agencies benefiting from this year’s campaign will utilize the funds to address critical needs and support vulnerable populations in our communities. The generosity and dedication of our staff to making a difference is admirable. It is an honor to work alongside all of them,” John A. Medina, president and CEO of First Federal Bank, said.
