Five Star Bank Adds San Francisco Bay Area Commercial Banking Team

Five Star Bancorp and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Five Star Bank, hired a new commercial banking team in San Francisco, adding to its existing team of Bay Area professionals led by DJ Kurtze, Five Star Bank’s San Francisco Bay Area region president. Five Star expects to open a loan production office in or around the San Francisco financial district in the coming months.

According to the San Francisco Business Times, among the hires for the new team is Renzo Lujan, who was formerly a managing director and district manager at First Republic. The San Francisco Business Times reported that Lujan will be a senior vice president and managing director at Five Star Bank.

“We are building momentum in the San Francisco Bay Area as we welcome a team of four well-respected and highly experienced professionals who will enhance our expansion efforts in the Bay Area,” James Beckwith, CEO of Five Star Bank, said. “We have gained considerable traction as more and more decision-makers learn about our extensive business banking capabilities. We have the high-tech banking solutions demanded by Bay Area customers, along with a high-touch and relationship-focused business model our customers value and trust. As we meet the demand for services caused by recent bank failures, we are introducing Bay Area customers to a highly personalized, concierge banking experience. Our clients can count on our team to listen to and support their interests, which we expect will benefit communities through regional economic growth for many years to come.”
