Fortune Names First American Equipment Finance a Top Workplace for Millennials

Fortune and Great Place to Work honored First American Equipment Finance as one of this year’s Best Workplaces for Millennials in the fewer than 1,000 full-time employees category. This is First American’s seventh time being named to the list, ranking No. 41 this year.

To determine the list, Great Place to Work collected nearly 500,000 responses from millennials at eligible companies. To be considered, companies had to be Great Place to Work certified and have at least 50 millennial employees in the United States. Sixty-nine percent of First American’s employees are millennials and 15% are from Gen Z.

“We are honored to be recognized among the best workplaces for millennials again this year,” Alan Sikora, CEO of First American Equipment Finance, said. “At First American, we provide a platform for ambitious individuals to shape a fulfilling career. I am deeply grateful for our team’s unwavering commitment and enthusiasm, which has defined our workplace culture.”

First American’s new business volume grew from $1.03 billion in 2017 to $1.87 billion in 2022. During this time, the company created 100 new positions at its Victor, NY, headquarters.

Earlier this year, Fortune and Great Place to Work ranked First American as a Best Workplace in New York while Selling Power named it one of the 50 Best Companies to Sell For, an honor the company also received in 2022. In 2022, Fortune and Great Place to Work ranked First American as a Best Workplace for Parents, a Best Workplace for Millennials, a Best Medium Workplace and a Best Workplace in Financial Services and Insurance. First American was also recognized on the 2022 People Companies that Care list. Best Companies Group named First American as the No. 1 Best Company to Work for in New York (250 or more full-time employees) earlier this year. Energage named First American the No. 1 Top Mid-Size Workplace (125 to 399 full-time employees) in Rochester, NY, and No. 6 on the Top Workplace in the United States list (150 to 499 full-time employees).
