HCA Thinks Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Hitachi Capital America Transportation Finance team will make a monetary donation to the Susan G. Komen organization.

In an effort to help spread additional awareness, members of the team also plan to wear pink to all customer visits during the month of October.

“We were inspired to act because many of our business partners have been impacted by breast cancer. Our offices are near Susan G. Koman’s corporate headquarters and helping a local organization with such an incredible and impactful mission is something our team is excited to do as many of us have personal experiences with friends and family who have been affected by the disease,” said Dave Herring, vice president and general manager, Transportation Finance.

Susan G. Komen is the world’s largest breast cancer organization, funding more breast cancer research than any other nonprofit. The organization has set a bold goal to reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026. According to their website, in 2019, an estimated 268,600 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in women in the U.S., along with 2,670 new cases in men.

Hitachi Capital America is an independent, diversified leasing and financial services company providing financing to commercial businesses and other Hitachi companies in the United States.
