Hilco Industrial announced the sale of assets for Dow Solar, a subsidiary of Dow Chemical. The HilcoBid online auction, which closed on November 8, was held in partnership with Aaron Equipment and Perry Videx.

The sale was highlighted by solar shingle manufacturing equipment including plastic injection molding machines, solar cell welding systems, glass washers, sun stimulators and laminators.

Dow Solar was a producer of solar shingle technology since its product first hit the market in 2011. In mid-2016 Dow Chemical announced that they were ceasing production of its PowerHouse solar shingles.
