Tara Aasand, of Great American Insurance, has been named as the Funding Symposium Conference Chairperson for the National Equipment Finance Association’s (NEFA) Funding Symposium to be held September 15 through 17, 2011.

“NEFA is fortunate to have a volunteer with both Tara’s ability and her drive heading up this conference,” said Gerry Egan, executive director of NEFA. “Tara also serves on our board of directors and was named last year’s member of the year for her service to NEFA.”

The Funding Symposium will be at The Marquette Hotel in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and also serves as the annual business meeting for NEFA.

Other members of the conference planning committee include: David Normandin, of Envision Capital Group; NEFA President, Chris Enbom, of Allegiant Partners Incorporated; Chris Walker, of GreatAmerica Leasing Corporation; both Brad and Adam Peterson, of Channel Partners LLC; Doug Houlahan, of Maxim Commercial Capital, LLC; Jim McCommon, of McCommon Leasing Company; Lynne Wicker, of RTR Services, Inc.; and Linda Parady, of First Litchfield Leasing Corporation. A number of other member volunteers will also be helping with the conference.

Aasand said, “I think we have a great group and am confident we can come up with a great agenda for the conference.”
