Societe Generale Equipment Finance received two awards at the Leasing Life Awards ceremony held on November 24 in Paris: the SME Champion EU of the Year 2016 as well as the Lifetime Achievement Award, which was attributed to Benoit Chenu, special adviser to the CEO.

Regarding the SME Champion EU award, the judges commended SGEF’s commitment to the SME market, including its approach to designing and implementing its products for small businesses. SGEF received this award for the fourth year in a row.

A panel of judges, specialists and professionals, also distinguished Benoit Chenu who has worked for more than 40 years in the leasing industry and has been critical to the growth of SGEF over the years. Benoit started working at Societe Generale in 1980, when the bank acquired Diebold Computer Leasing which led to SGEF’s creation in 1997. He was chief commercial officer until 2014 when he became CEO Special Advisor.
