Triton Announces Expiration of Hart-Scott-Rodino Act Waiting Period for Brookfield Acquisition

Triton International, a lessor of intermodal freight containers, announced the expiration of the required waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 (the HSR Act) in connection with the proposed acquisition of Triton by Brookfield Infrastructure Partners through its subsidiary, Brookfield Infrastructure, and its institutional partners.

The expiration of the HSR Act waiting period satisfies one of the conditions to the closing of the transaction. Subject to approval of the transaction by Triton’s shareholders and other customary closing conditions, Triton and Brookfield Infrastructure continue to expect closing in Q4/23.
