U.S. Registers Fewest Unemployment Filings in 45 Years

Bloomberg reported, citing Labor Department data, that the 2018 job market could experience constriction based on the fact that the U.S. recorded its fewest filings for unemployment benefits in 45 years.

Manufacturing and construction are two industries Bloomberg said are having a particularly difficult time finding workers, although it noted that the problem stretches across many other industries as well.

The unemployment rate, according to Bloomberg, currently sits at 4.1%, which is the lowest it has been since 2000.
