Volvo Financial Services Names Mello SVP, Global Marketing and Communication



Volvo Financial Services (VFS) appointed Daniel Homem de Mello as senior vice president of global marketing and communication. In his role, Mello will be responsible for all VFS marketing, customer experience and internal and external communication strategies to promote VFS and its critical role in the Volvo Group’s transformation to sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions.

Mello will also be responsible for ensuring full alignment and collaboration of VFS’ marketing and communication efforts with Volvo Group business areas to maximize value for customers.

“VFS is a high-performing organization that helps drive success for our Volvo Group brands and customers, and Daniel’s incredible breadth of experience and know-how will position us well to deliver,” Marcio Pedroso, VFS president, said. “Daniel is the right fit for our team, and I look forward to having him lead our global marketing and communication function.”

Mello returns to the Volvo Group after two years of leading the marketing function of a large transport and logistics company in Brazil. Mello worked for 12 years at Volvo Group Latin America, having held different roles at Volvo Trucks and Volvo Buses. Hismose recent position in the organization was director of brand, marketing and communication for Volvo Group Latin America.
