Volvo to Sell Japan Truck Unit to Isuzu for $2.3B



Reuters reported that Volvo AB will sell UD Trucks, its Japan-based business to Isuzu Motors.

According to Reuters, the deal will be worth approximately $2.3 billion.

Volvo made this sale to leave the low-margin business and increase its cash reserves as high-tech trucking competition increases, according to Reuters.
