Waypoint Leasing Opens Signapore Office Headed by Stransky

Waypoint Leasing announced the opening of its Singapore office, which is headed by Waypoint executive Philip Stransky. Waypoint’s Singapore office will further bolster the firm’s presence across the Asia Pacific region, where it has already delivered nine aircraft to leading regional operators, including Bond Helicopters Australia, Hevilift and National Utility Helicopters.

Ed Washecka, chief executive officer of Waypoint, said, “We are excited to officially announce our presence in Singapore after serving the growing Asia Pacific market and working with local and multinational operators since our first transaction with Hevilift. I have worked with Philip for many years – he has deep knowledge of the region and strong relationships with dozens of helicopter operations. I am confident that under his supervision, we will replicate Waypoint’s success across the globe and deliver superior value to operators through differentiated and flexible financing solutions.”

Stransky has worked in Singapore for five years and has seven years of global upstream oil and gas experience, ultimately focused on business development and contract negotiation. Prior to joining Waypoint, Stransky served as the Asia area manager for SEACOR Marine, where he sourced and evaluated firm-wide business opportunities in the region and established a framework for regional joint ventures in Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. Prior to that, Stransky worked for SEACOR Marine in Mexico, where served as the Country Manager, as well as in Europe, the U.S. and Africa.
