Webster Bank expanded its commitment to the transportation and logistics industry with the addition of Nick Weaver as senior vice president and regional manager of middle-market banking. Weaver will report to Scott Meves, regional president of Pennsylvania for Webster Bank.

Weaver will be responsible for building a team focused on serving Webster Bank clients and prospective customers in the transportation and logistics industry. Working with colleagues across commercial banking, Weaver and his team will provide working capital solutions, acquisition financing and cash management and treasury solutions.

“Nick’s wealth of experience in building and growing teams targeting this increasingly important business vertical will be critical to our goals of driving new business and revenue opportunities in the markets we serve,” Sam Hanna, executive vice president and head of middle-market banking at Webster Bank, said.

Weaver has more than 20 years of experience in building and managing transportation-focused sales and strategy teams at regional and national financial institutions, including most recently as managing director of specialized industries at The Private Bank/CIBC U.S. in Atlanta.
