Weisfeld Joins XPO Logistics as Chief Strategy Officer of RXO Spin-Off

XPO Logistics, a provider of freight transportation services, hired Jared Weisfeld as chief strategy officer of RXO, the planned spin-off of XPO’s North American brokered transportation platform. Weisfeld will be responsible for RXO’s strategy and analysis of growth opportunities when the spin-off is complete and will oversee RXO’s engagement with the investment community. He will report to Drew Wilkerson, who will be CEO of RXO and currently serves as president of transportation – North America for XPO.

Weisfeld was most recently with Jefferies Financial Group, where he was ranked among the top three specialists in the technology, media and telecom sector on Institutional Investor’s All-America Survey for 2020 and 2021. Previously, he was a partner and technology sector head with Margate Capital Management and served as an associate portfolio manager with Balyasny Asset Management, where he was twice recognized as analyst of the year. Weisfeld began his career as a technology sector analyst with the investment banking division of Credit Suisse.

“Jared is immersed in market dynamics for the technology sector, where our spin-off will be squarely positioned as an asset-light, tech-enabled transportation platform,” Wilkerson said. “His insights will help us execute on RXO’s strongest opportunities in truck brokerage, where we have first-mover advantage as an innovator in digitization.”
