WSJ: IASB Proposes Rule to Provide More Transparency on Profit, Income



The Wall Street Journal reported that the International Accounting Standards Board proposed a new rule that would change how companies report and explain profit.

According to the Journal, the measures suggested by the IASB move beyond general accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

IASB wants to compel companies to give investors more detailed information, according to Hans Hoogervorst, IASB chairman, who spoke with the Journal.
