Ryan Bohlert, managing director for Stonebriar Commercial Finance, believes structure leads to higher productivity and that good health is essential for having a sharp mind. Bohlert starts every day with an early morning workout, touting it as his favorite self-care routine because it prepares him for the highs and lows of the day.

“Prioritizing an intense morning workout keeps my mind sharp and positions me to better handle the inevitable speedbumps in a normal workday,” Bohlert says. “By doing this earlier in the day, my evenings remain available for networking events, team activities or a long walk with the dog.”

As an integral part of the Stonebriar team, Bohlert is responsible for originating new business through educating the company’s clients and prospects on Stonebriar’s ability to efficiently structure and fund capital structures. At the time of publication, Bohlert had been party to structuring, funding and syndication deals totaling more than $300 million of fixed asset financings.

“I am uniquely positioned to serve my customers in part because of what I am continuously learning with easy access to and daily interaction with Stonebriar’s senior leadership, all of whom have decades of experience in the industry,” Bohlert says. “Having a seat at the table with those mentors evaluating and structuring large, complex transactions has been invaluable in honing my leadership skills.”

Utilizing those mentors and combining their wisdom with his broad perspective gained through working in captive finance, bank-owned finance and independent finance including roles involved in operations, capital markets, direct originations and more, Bohlert is better equipped to understand deals from inception to close while staying constructively engaged throughout each process.
