Renee Hazard, Executive Vice President, Founder, Targeted Lease Capital
Renee Hazard started in the equipment finance space straight out of college at Evans National Leasing. In that first role, she started to develop her passion for finance, cycling through the credit, collections and documentation departments. Her attention to detail and ability to talk to anyone made her a great candidate to head up the documentation department, eventually landing her a role at Blue Bridge Financial developing and managing its entire broker relations department.

I was given a ‘chance’ to learn about this great industry many years ago and I am genuinely excited to help others along their path to becoming successful processionals in the industry.”
Hazard then founded Targeted Lease Capital in 2015 with the mission of building relationships. She knew that would start with a great team offering a fair and honest product to the network of brokers she had worked so hard to cultivate. With the help of industry veterans Brian Gallo and Michael Philbin, Targeted Lease Capital has grown into a successful finance company built on Hazard’s vision.
“I love the feeling of exceeding goals and helping people get the deal funded. Every deal is important to me, whether it is $10K or $100K,” Hazard says. “The numerous acquisitions and consolidations over the last 10 years have driven a fervor of loan demand and has removed the personal relationships the industry was built on. ‘Volume at all costs’ seems to be the theme today and that viewpoint does not align with the relationship-driven philosophy of TLC. I am extremely proud of the culture we built at Targeted Lease Capital and will never take for granted the relationships that got us here.”

Hazard has been an advocate for the leasing and financing industry for years. She has volunteered her time on the membership committee of the American Association of Commercial Finance Brokers and has participated in numerous conference committees. Locally, she volunteers her and TLC’s time at Habitat for Humanity and also created #TLCGIVESBACK. She coaches youth soccer and has been on the board of many youth sport organizations. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband and family. If she isn’t in the office, you can find her cheering on her two sons, Cooper and Luca, at a local sporting event.
