As LEAF Commercial Capital’s senior vice president of corporate operations, Sandy Graydus is a tremendous contributor to the company’s growth. She brings a unique perspective on diverse areas of operation, including dealer support, collections and system development, to her role. Her extensive lease industry experience has been invaluable to the success of a wide range of initiatives across the business, including multiple complex acquisitions.

VISION FOR THE FUTURE:

“I believe business technology and automation are essential to seamlessly evolving to continue meeting the needs of a quickly changing and highly competitive equipment finance marketplace. My vision for the industry is one in which we can fully leverage the talent of our teams with technology that frees them to focus on creative problem-solving.”

Graydus’ professional mission is to develop her team and help each member reach their career goals with a welcoming, inclusive approach based on the philosophy that there are no mistakes, only learning opportunities. Throughout Graydus’ leadership career, she has been an advocate for every member of her team and has maintained an unwavering focus on their growth.

“One of the things that makes Sandy such a unique and exceptional leader is her extraordinary gift for developing truly cohesive and collaborative teams where everyone feels capable, valued and invested in the success of everyone else on the team as they work together to achieve company goals,” Miles Herman, president and COO of LEAF, says.

One of Graydus’ goals has been helping LEAF’s partners and customers weather the storm of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Soon after the pandemic began, Graydus rapidly put together a cross-functional team to automate the receipt, documentation and processing of more than 6,000 requests for lease modifications. She met daily with her team to ensure success. Their work was crucial to helping customers navigate a very difficult time for their businesses, all while minimizing delinquencies and charge-offs.

Graydus strives to build a team culture that takes a proactive, root-cause approach to problem-solving. She has an open-door policy and is always available to mentor team members one-on-one as well as through cross-functional team meetings and focus groups. A strong proponent of automation, Graydus is also refining processes with the goal of reducing manual work, preventing errors and continuing to deliver the seamless experience dealers, customers and partners expect from LEAF.

Graydus’ contributions to the equipment finance industry don’t stop when the workday does. In her time away from the office, Graydus is active in LeasePac and is a co-founder of the Philadelphia chapter of Women in Leadership, an organization whose mission is to encourage, develop and support women’s leadership in the equipment finance industry.
