Recognizing small business as the backbone of the U.S. economy, SBLF is dedicated to a thriving small business community with access to capital. This year’s program focused on key topics to small business lenders including:

  • Credit Scoring’s Place in Underwriting
  • Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) Standards
  • Political Advocacy
  • Preparing for a Downturn
  • What Makes a Company Culture Great

Keynote speaker Steve House, an extreme climber, author and entrepreneur, set an inspiring tone as he spoke of thriving through adversity and the perfect preparation needed in his journeys as a mountain climber, themes that resonated with the business audience.

Continued optimism for this year’s business environment permeated among attendees. However, despite the positive outlook, the seasoned audience was also keen to economic cycles and the need to prepare their businesses for tougher times when they come.
