Funding Coordinator: Small-Ticket Leasing


Our client, an independent equipment finance company is seeking to hire an experienced small-ticket leasing Funding Coordinator to join their team.

Summary: The Funding Coordinator reviews lease and equipment finance agreement documents for accuracy and ensures timely and accurate documentation and funding of all small ticket lease and equipment finance agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares lease and equipment finance agreement documents in a timely manner
  • Performs pre-fund audit of lease and equipment finance transactions to ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation according to Documentation policy standards and provides proper approval prior to booking
  • Works closely with Sr. Credit Analyst to ensure transactions conform to credit approval and requests credit approval for necessary changes
  • Coordinates delivery and acceptance of the equipment
  • Reconciles any issues prior to funding, obtaining any necessary change addendums to ensure correct documentation
  • Funds disbursements for equipment finance and lease transactions to originators and vendors
  • Interacts with customers and/or third parties to resolve documentation deficiencies
  • Records details to ensure proper servicing of sales and use tax and tracking for insurance and titling
  • Facilitates the signing of lease documents by a designated signing authority
  • Files UCC’s in a timely manner and initiates lien searches and site visits, as required
  • Obtains insurance certificates from borrower’s agent
  • Issues purchase orders and appropriate invoice instructions to vendors
  • Utilizes strong time management skills to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Helps maintain the Division’s credit, documentation and funding policies


  • Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university preferably in a business-related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • At least 3 years funding experience.
  • Must have a strong understanding and knowledge of lease financing, small ticket commercial equipment finance, credit underwriting and lease documentation
  • Must be able to balance documentation policy with reasonable exceptions in a sales-oriented environment.
