Activist Investors May Target GE, Caterpillar, Other Industrials



According to Bloomberg, industrial giants like Caterpillar, Textron and Deere are attracting the attention of activist investors.

Bloomberg reported that all three companies, along with GE, ranked highly on the Bloomberg Intelligence model, which measures factors such as sales growth and profit margins to determine the probability of activist interest.

Bloomberg also noted that Nelson Peltz’s Trian Fund Management LP already claimed a $2.5 billion stake in GE.
