Best Companies Group honored First American Equipment Finance as one of the 2021 Best Companies to Work For in New York. This is the 10^th consecutive year First American has been named to the list. This year, it came in first place in the large category (more than 250 full-time employees).

The annual list was created by the New York State Society for Human Resource Management (NYS-SHRM) and Best Companies Group. This statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in New York that are benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and its businesses. The 2021 list includes 72 companies.

To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

• Be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity
• Be a publicly or privately held business
• Have a facility in the state of New York
• Have at least 15 employees working in New York
• Have been in business a minimum of one year.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process. The first part evaluated each company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in New York and also analyzed the data and determined the final rankings.
